Oh and another fyi: the speakers list (oooh, Ben Fry and Casey Reas among the rest of the Flash(tm)-ers!) for FITC2005 has been announced today along with a tentative schedule. It looks like Shawn is going for the deadly '6 speaker tracks and 3 days' combo... Oh insanity!

This will be my first FITC that I'm not working at so I will get to soak it all up uninterrupted. Hurray!

Is Casey doing a workshop? If he is, you're in for a treat. We had him deliver a 3 day Processing workshop at COEDD last year. It was excellent, and he's a really nice guy too.

Actually, I'm really glad that you asked...

I just assumed that it was just going to be a presentation introducing Processing to a Flash audience but I dug through the presentation topic list and yes, there _is_ a workshop!

On top of that, the two of them will be giving an additional presentation on "Computational Information Design" which is super fantastic.

I'm looking forward to that since I've only gotten through a bit of Ben Fry's master's thesis but so far it's been a good read.
