Synopsis

Weblogs -- for those who blog regularly and even those who blog sporadically -- these online journals create a tangible presence of activity that might not otherwise be visible.

In virtual space, words and images are left as cookie crumb trails of where individuals have been, what they've seen, and where they might be.

Although this presence lives online, it cannot be denied that there is a strong connection between the physically built environments that these individuals occupy in "real life" and how it informs -- and is informed by -- the online environment.

Blog City, as currently named, is a proposed web tool that will make visible (and strengthen) this connection by working with a community of bloggers located in the Greater Toronto Area in order to create an infrastructure in which information becomes the building material of a city rather than cement and steel.
