The right and wrong of soldering

There is a right way... and there is a wrong way.

Apparently, I have been doing it the wrong way.

Which is why the pointy tip of my old soldering iron is now absolutely flat. Which is why I now have a new soldering iron that came in a package with diagrams that tell me the right and wrong of soldering. :)

(Yes, I could have bought a new soldering iron tip but I didn't really like the old one anyways.)
